Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 4, 2026
At Overlap, we employ advanced telemetry analytics to measure and optimize travel. This Privacy Policy details how we handle the highly sensitive and precise data our platform ingests to map your trajectory.
1. Information We Collect
A. Geospacial and Kinetic Data
To provide Formula 1-level telemetry and AI trajectory analysis, the application processes and records:
- Latitude and Longitude (Geospatial positioning in degrees)
- Altitude (Height above sea level in meters to calculate road incline)
- Heading (0–360° representing continuous direction of movement)
- Speed (km/h) and Acceleration (m/s² calculated via IMU or Δv/Δt)
- Timestamps (Unix/ISO format for exact metric synchronization)
B. Personal Data
When you register, we collect standard information such as Name, Email Address, and Payment information.
2. How We Use Your Syncronized Data
We use the core data points mapped to timestamps for:
- Distance and Trajectory Mapping: Calculating exact distance traveled and analyzing cornering angles and driving lines.
- AI Pattern Recognition: Using historical run data to detect inefficient sections, evaluate speed control, and suggest optimization paths (Ghost overlay functionality).
3. Data Safety & Synchronization
Your timestamps, speed drops, and location telemetry are kept secure using modern encryption. Because telemetry evaluation natively involves your physical geographic data, we take data masking and account privacy very seriously. We do not sell your personal telemetry data to data brokers.
4. Hardware Integrations
If you sync Overlap with an external IMU or GPS device, telemetry data transfers natively to our system environment subject to the same protections defined in this Privacy Policy.
