Terms of Use (Software & Telemetry Analytics)

Effective Date: March 4, 2026

Welcome to Overlap. Please read these terms carefully before using our software or connected services.

1. Analytical Purpose Only

Overlap is designed strictly as a data analysis and telemetry tool. The insights, trajectory analyses, and speed optimization suggestions generated by our AI are for post-drive review and theoretical performance evaluation only.

2. Safety and Lawful Use

You are entirely responsible for your conduct while operating a motor vehicle. You agree to use Overlap in strict compliance with all local, state, and national traffic laws. You must never interact with the Overlap mobile application while driving.

3. No Encouragement of Dangerous Driving

Overlap does not condone, encourage, or endorse reckless driving, speeding on public roads, or any violation of traffic laws. The pursuit of "faster times" or "optimized segments" must never supersede road safety, posted speed limits, or the well-being of yourself and the public. We bear no liability or responsibility for any traffic citations, accidents, damages, or legal consequences resulting from your driving behavior.

4. Hardware and Accuracy Limitations

While Overlap utilizes advanced algorithms, all data collected via smartphone sensors (GPS, IMU) or external telemetry devices is subject to hardware limitations, environmental interference, and signal degradation. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of speed, altitude, trajectory mapping, or AI suggestions. GPS drift and sensor latency may occur.

5. Data Collection and Telemetry Synchronization

By using the application, you consent to the collection and processing of your telemetry data (including speed, location, acceleration, heading, and timestamps). This data is synchronized and processed by our systems to generate your analytics, improve our AI models, and provide aggregate performance metrics. We handle all data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. External Devices

If you link third-party Bluetooth or Wi-Fi telemetry devices to Overlap, you are responsible for ensuring they are safely and securely mounted. Overlap is not responsible for hardware failures, sync errors, or damages caused by third-party equipment.
